(EMDR)

EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is an evidence-based therapy for treating trauma and associated behavioral health concerns that demonstrates efficacy for processing and moving past traumatic memories or experiences that keep us stuck in the past. EMDR allows us to target traumatic memories directly and can be more effective and faster than other therapies. EMDR does not require detailed discussion of the trauma or for the person to have detailed memories of the trauma.

EMDR is effective for children, adolescents, and adults and can be used to improve symptoms of a variety of behavioral health conditions: trauma disorders, depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, OCD, personality disorders, eating disorders, substance use disorders, pain, and dissociative disorders.
